McDonalds Advert

Today I’m bringing you a rather funny advert from McDonald’s. The advert itself is actually foreign, but even without subtitles you should be able to understand what they are saying. In the ad itself we see a loving couple enjoying each others company and then they go into McDonald’s and this is where their love for each other breaks down in a comedic way over a McDonald’s combo meal.

The advert can be watched below:

Reviewing The McDonald’s Advert:
Cinematography:
 5/5

The cinematography of the advert is good and it shows what it needs to show. It focuses in on the McDonald’s brand and that really highlights what the whole advert is about. The camera cuts also help to portray the whole story of the advert making it funny and enjoyable to watch. 5/5

Message: 5/5

The brand messaging is laid out throughout the advert and it also delivers the message that McDonald’s food is so good that you won’t want to share it. In that respect this is very good brand and product advertising from McDonald’s so I’ll give this a 5/5.

Pace: 5/5

With the comedic style of advertising used in the advert, the pace of the ad is great because you can find it enjoyable and funny to watch. The choice of soundtrack also makes the advert enjoyable to listen to and watch which makes it a good advert. 5/5

Sound: 5/5

For the purpose of the story of the advert, the choice of music soundtrack is fantastic. Using the soundtrack ‘I’d anything for love (but I won’t do that)’ by Meat Loaf really brings to life the whole advert and makes it enjoyable to listen to as well as to watch. The lyrics of the song itself also neatly tie into the story of the advert which help to make it even more comedic and funny to watch. It is a great advert from McDonald’s. 5/5

Overall: 5/5

Success!
