Firestone Print Ad

Firestone recently released these pretty nifty and creative advertisements. These print ads liken the tires to ferocious and strong animals in order to show us that these tires are made to be strong and powerful (enough to stop a car). Firestone Alligator

This here is the Firestone Alligator and it is actually my favourite out of the three print ads in terms of overall design quality. Which one is your favourite design?

Firestone Horse

I find this Firestone horse the most relevant to vehicles and tires of the three prints as it immediately brings to mind horse-power followed by cars followed by strong Firestone tires. Do you find any of the other prints more relevant?

Firestone Shark

The final print ad is the Firestone shark. I find this one the least relevant and of the least quality of design. None the less it is still a solid print in its own right. So how will the actual review fair? Find out below after the print credits.

Reviewing The Print Adverts:
Message: 3.5/5

The messaging of these adverts isn’t its strong point. Without properly taking a look at the design aspect of the print you wouldn’t necessarily gather that the animals are made out of tires and that therefore this print advert is trying to sell you tires. Design wise the ad is solid, but it perhaps needs just a little bit more wording to deliver the message that they are selling tires.3.5/5

Design: 4/5

Like stated above, the design is solid. It is cleanly done leaving enough space to be able to gaze at it as a picture, a picture which sells the messaging. The design work of making the animals look likes tires is neatly done and is an overall excellent done job. However it just needs that little bit of flare to go beyond the solid grey colours that it shows and make it more than just a solid piece of print. The design also just needs that little bit of brand messaging to really sell the product and show us that Firestone equals tires when glancing at the print ad. 4/5
